The Upper Norwood Library Hub has just undergone a major refurbishment. Work has been carried out on the roof, floors and internal decor, transforming it into a sleek, contemporary space for local people and businesses to meet, learn and socialise.
Our coffee shop Norville’s is up and running and features a range of different cakes, biscuits, and other sweet treats daily, as well as a wide range of coffees ans teas. New to Norville’s, ‘eat & go’ include combo such as roast aubergine/zucchini wraps, jerk chicken wraps, mozzarella with homemade pesto. Wraps sandwiches served with homemade cake (banana bread, lemon & poppy slice etc) and a piece of fruit all for an amazing £3.50. Homemade avocado or pumpkin hummus used in place of butter. Eat and go lunchtime combo’s will start at the hub coffee shop from the 1st October.
We have a children’s crafting and storytelling session every week on Friday and Saturday for children up to the age of 8. We tell a different story every week and the children will get to enjoy two craft sessions based on the book of the week. we have a toddler corner for younger siblings to enjoy and also provide coffee, tea and snacks for the adults as well as some juice and snacks for the children. The class is only £10 per child there is also a sibling discount available and use of the baby corner is completely free!

From November 2017, a newly created space in the library hub where you can borrow ‘things’ as often as you need them, e.g tools, camping or skiing gear, mowers, carpet cleaners, musical instruments and more for a fraction of the price of normal rental costs.
