From the Southbank Centre to Upper Norwood: UNLT joins the London Literature Festival Book Swap
Upper Norwood Library Trust (UNLT) is delighted to be part of the Southbank Centre’s Book Swap, taking place as part of this year’s London Literature Festival, curated by global music star and book lover Dua Lipa.
Running from 21 October to 1 November, the Book Swap invites visitors to the Royal Festival Hall to bring along a book they’ve enjoyed, leave a recommendation for another reader and choose a different book to take home. The initiative is all about sharing books, discovering new reads and connecting people through stories.
The Book Swap will also feature books and recommendations donated by Dua Lipa and other writers, artists and cultural figures involved in the festival, adding another dimension to this celebration of reading and the sharing of ideas.
A connection to our local community
For UNLT, the initiative has a particularly exciting local connection. Books remaining from the Book Swap will be donated to Upper Norwood Library Trust, helping extend the scheme beyond the Southbank Centre and into our local community.
We’re pleased to be involved in an initiative that brings books and readers together, creating opportunities for people to discover something new and pass on stories they have enjoyed.
Partnerships like this help connect organisations and communities, allowing resources to be shared and new opportunities to reach local people.
We look forward to welcoming the books to UNLT and sharing them with our community.
