Visit from the Deputy Mayor of Lambeth

We were delighted to meet the Deputy Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Christine Banton who is the ward Councillor for Gipsy Hill and Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Champion for the borough. We shared the fantastic news about the National Lottery funding of £776,571 across the next five years to expand community-led opportunities to empower residents through literacy, lifelong learning and health and wellbeing activities at the Upper Norwood Library Hub and through our ‘Library Without Walls’ outreach programme, which aims to improve health and wellbeing, build social connections, skills and employability opportunities. We’re  excited to explore working together as the community-led programme develops!
