New AWAIR Outdoor Air Quality Display at the Upper Norwood Library Hub
We’re really excited to install a new AWAIR outdoor air quality display at Upper Norwood Library Hub.
Earlier this year, we held two community consultations at the library hub to hear from local residents about air pollution, how it affects daily life, and how they thought the displays should look in the community. Their ideas directly shaped the design — including the unique book-shaped display that’s now going up at the library hub.
The display shows real-time information about the outdoor air quality right outside the library hub, helping everyone to engage with what the colours mean, when pollution is highest, and look into what actions we can all take to protect our health and the environment.
You can also explore where other displays are located around the borough by visiting our map for Gipsy Hill here: https://awair-project.org/map
Pop by to check it out and learn more about the air we’re all breathing.
