FAQs

Hirer responsibilities
It is the hirer’s responsibility to make sure that the space is left how it was found. This includes tidying away any equipment and decorations, clearing and cleaning any glassware, crockery and kitchen equipment and putting away furniture where it was found. All food waste and rubbish must be bagged up and removed from the premises. The hirer is also responsible for cleaning any spills or messes during the hire period.

Duration of hire
The hire period is inclusive of any preparation and clearing up time. Please factor this in when deciding how long you book the space for. Please note that other people may have booked the space before/after you and any overrun will incur additional charges.

Parking
There is a small car park to the rear of the building which you are free to use for the duration of your booking only. One car is permitted per hire. This is specifically for loading/unloading and equipment or refreshments, or for an entertainer. Unfortunately, we do not have enough space for guest parking.

Kitchen facilities
We have a small kitchen which you are welcome to use. Please ensure that any crockery/glassware or equipment is cleaned and returned before the end of your hire period. We have hot water urns for hot drinks (please specify on your booking form if you require these to be set up in the space), as well as a microwave, fridge and catering trolleys to transport any equipment. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments to serve at your event.

Catering
You are welcome to source outside catering for your event. It is your responsibility to ensure that external companies meet appropriate health and safety standards.

Decoration
Decorations for events and celebrations are permitted, providing they cause no damage to the building or its contents. Using nails/adhesives/Blue tac on the walls, doors and window frames is prohibited.

Entertainment
Outside entertainment may be hired for your event. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the vendor holds the appropriate liability insurance for the event. Bouncy castles are permitted if they are not over 9 ft.

Additional Equipment
We supply tables and chairs free of charge, as well as a whiteboard. A Bluetooth speaker is available to hire for £10 and a projector is available for £20.

Alcohol
If providing alcohol for guests, it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that alcohol is not served to anyone under 18. A Challenge-25 policy must be in place.

Parties for teens/young adults (For private parties)
Due to security and health & safety issues, we do not host private parties or discos for young people between 13-25. If such a party is held under false pretences, the event will be stopped immediately, and no refunds will be given.

Cancellations/refunds
A full refund will be issued if the hirer cancels more than 4 weeks before the hire date. A refund of 50% will be issued if the hirer cancels between 1-4 weeks in advance of the hire date. No refund will be issued if the hirer cancels less than a week before the hire date.
