This figure drawing session is open to all skill levels. It provides an excellent introduction to drawing and a solid grounding for beginners as well as a time to practice drawing from the model.

Mondays at 7pm.

Booking in advance is essential in order to confirm capacity before each session.

£20 for 2 hours - concessions available.

Join us this summer for children’s holiday camps and one-day activity workshops at the Upper Norwood Library Hub in the heart of Crystal Palace. From art to athletics, baking to bath bombs, sewing to slime making, we’ve got all sorts of activities to entertain over the school holidays!

Children’s Camps

Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm, for children aged 5-11

Little Brushstrokes Visual Arts Camp - 28th July - 1st August 2025 and 18th August - 22nd August 2025 - Discover new visual arts skills and learn about famous artists and their work with Cherelle and her team from Brushstrokes Art.

Colour Lab & Art Experiments Summer Camp - 4th August - 8th August 2025 - Dive into hands-on experiments mixing art and science, from fizzing rainbow reactions and giant bubble labs to UV painting and slime-making.

Artletics: Art, Craft and Sports: Summer Camp - 11th August - 15th August 2025 - Take part in a real sport, like football, basketball or athletics, and dive into a hands-on arts & crafts activity inspired by the world of movement.

Bake It ‘Til You Make It! Cake Decorating Course - Mondays 28th July, 4th August, 11th August, 18th August - Walk away with new skills & a show-stopping cake creation each session (age 7+).

Stitch Squad: Sewing Adventures - Tuesdays and Thursdays 29th and 31st July, 5th, 7th, 12th 14th, 19th & 21st August - Learn to sew on a sewing machine & bring your ideas to life (age 7 to teens).

Bead Buddies: Handmade Jewellery Making Club - Wednesdays 30th July, 6th, 13th & 20th August - Design & create your own beautiful beaded accessories & take home something new (age 6+).

Clay Day: Pottery Workshop for Kids - Friday 1st August - From pinch pots to slab boxes, learn real ceramic techniques & explore your imagination through sculpting (age 5-11).

Twist & Dye: A Tie-Dye & Fabric Art Workshop - Friday 15th August - Explore the magic of tie-dye & fabric dyeing to design your own vibrant t-shirts, tote bags, & more (age 5-11).

Free English & Maths support for children aged 5-8 (in receipt of free school meals)

Join us for an enriching experience where education meets fun and support is provided free of charge. The Upper Norwood Library Hub proudly presents an exclusive programme designed to empower children and their families who are currently receiving benefits related free school meals.

The sessions will be delivered by a literacy and numeracy specialist who has expertise in engaging children and young in key stage 1 & 2 and supported by a team of learning volunteers.

Time & day: Wednesdays  4:30pm-6pm and Thursdays 4:30pm-6pm. This programme runs in term time only. Come for 1 or 2 sessions a week.

Starts Wednesday September 24th - Pre- Register today as places go quickly!

Places available on a rolling basis for Lambeth children age 5-8 who are in receipt of benefits related free school meals. 

Parents/carers can stay and join in with learning or drop off (with learning materials to take home).

If you have more than one child then you will need to book multiple spaces.

A minimum of 15 sessions are recommended to get the most from this programme.
